All Queries Trace
The All Queries trace in DAX Studio supports capturing the query events from all client tools (not just queries sent from DAX Studio like the Query Plan and Server Timings features do).
EvaluateAndLog Trace
This function is useful for viewing intermediate values and tables that are involved in evaluating DAX expressions. This trace captures the output from the EVALUATEANDLOG() function. The output of this function will show you input values coming from the filter context and the resulting output values. The output can be a scalar value or a table.
Query Plan Tracing
DAX Studio supports capturing the query plan trace events from a SSAS Tabular server and displaying them.
Storage Engine Dependencies
Storage Engine Dependencies is a preview feature. You need to turn it on in
Server Timings Options
There are a number of options that control the post processing of the storage engine xmSQL text to help make it more readable.
Server Timing Trace
The standard timings reported in the output window is the elapsed time for the query recorded by DAX Studio, but that can be impacted by network speeds and the size of the result set. If you want to see the query timing from the server perspective you can do this with the server timing trace button.
